Serene place to stay
Such a pleasant and serene place to stay with my family for a 2 day ski trip at Windham! The cabin is 4 minutes from the ski mountain and offers a quiet, cozy (excellent heating) and clean (!!!) place to stay. The cabin has everything you would need in a house (toilet paper, shampoo/soap, cook and dish ware, garbage bags, coffee!, towels…), just bring in the food. Also, I cannot forget the excellent WiFi! Vacation · Family I've never been so excited to type a review! Without a doubt one of the best places I've ever stayed. Cutest cabin ever, immaculately clean. Beautifully rustic. Quiet. It's your own private home away from home. Kitchen has everything including utensils, plates, cups, pans.. just bring in the food, or groceries to cook. Two ductless wall units kept the temp perfect. Bed was so comfortable. There are also bunk beds and a bed in the loft to sleep more guests if needed. Plenty of towels. Screened in porch with furniture and ceiling fan/light. Wifi. Owner was very nice and available immediately for any questions. Did I mention sparkling clean?? Conveniently located about 10 minutes from Windham town. The only thing wrong with this stay was that we only needed it for one night. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Next time! Wonderful Basecamp
10/10 Posted Jan 2, 2026Host was excellent, going the extra mile and turning lights on for our late arrival, and getting ahold of us immediately when we left some belongings behind. Cabins were impeccably clean and stocked with all the amenities needed (coffee, pots/pans, silverware, etc..). Broadband internet wifi provided at each cabin so you are not too far away from the WiFi connection. Cell over wifi worked perfectly. Minisplits kept the cabin warm for a family of 5 in 12 degree weather. Bunkbeds were great for the kids and the loft area can fit adults comfortably (6'-2"). Will be back in the winter and the summer to enjoy the catskills from this wonderful basecamp.
Relaxing Retreat
When you pull up at night to the Gate and the Landscape lighting its Gorgeous. The home was amazing, cozy and very comfortable. Internet was fast. porch seating very comfortable. We used the Grill one night and made diner and visited town and enjoyed local dining the next night. Minutes away from town and still very quite and private. Will definitely be returning.
